Who we are
Möhlenhoff GmbH has been part of the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning industry for more than 30 years, mainly as OEM manufacturer but also with distribution under its own brand name. As a family-run, international company, our focus lies on developing and manufacturing high-quality, customized solutions that give our customers a competitive edge and set them apart. Our extensive technological expertise and many years of experience made us to the market leader in thermal valve actuators.
The products we offer
Our product range includes individual components and turnkey control systems for underfloor and radiator heating, air-conditioning and building control systems. Room temperature controls, thermal and motoric valve actuators as well as accessories create integrated systems that set new standards. Intelligent solutions for complex smart home concepts round off the portfolio.

Our locations
We’ve been based in Salzgitter-Saldersince the company was founded in 1951. In addition to its Headquarters and production site in Salzgitter, Möhlenhoff has a production site in Antoniow, Poland, since 2016. After more than 10 years of successful business development through various partnerships in China, we founded in 2020 our fully owned subsidiary in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, China, confirming our vested interest in the Chinese market, the worldwide largest single market for HVAC. We sell our products to over 60 countries and have agencies and sales partners across the world.

Our roots
Our history started in 1951 when Hellmuth Möhlenhoff took over a shop for electric appliances in Salzgitter-Salder, the town which is still our hometown today.
Today, 70 years later, we are by far the market leader in the field of development and manufacturing of thermal actuators for underfloor heating and building management systems.
Entrepreneurship, innovative ideas and profound dedication to create profitable and sustainable businesses out of these ideas were the cornerstones of today’s success as much as they shall be in the future.

Our milestones
Moehlenhoff (Wuxi) HVAC Control Technology Co., Ltd. was founded.
Development of OEM services for cloud and app solutions.
Frank Geburek is the sole managing director, Martina Möhlenhoff, Prof. Horst Wildemann and Christopher Schönberger make up the supervisory board.
A new production site founded in Poland.
Market launch of the OEM Alpha 2: system.
Market launch of the OEM Actuator 5 – an innovative and attractively priced valve drive with only 1 watt power consumption.
Martina Möhlenhoff and Frank Geburek manage the family-run business based on Andreas Möhlenhoff´s philosophy.
Andreas Möhlenhoff dies in February 2011 aged 50 after a long illness.
Expansion of production facilities in Salzgitter. New and re-developed production facilities and office buildings.

Andreas Möhlenhoff takes over the running of the business after the unexpected death of Hellmuth Möhlenhoff.
The first thermal valve drive is developed. The development of room-by-room temperature control for underfloor heating and a control distributor follow.
The first electronic underfloor convector to deflect cold air in large windows is developed and serves as a model for many other manufacturers.
At the age of 25 Hellmuth Möhlenhoff starts his career and takes over a business for electric appliances in Salzgitter-Salder.
